A panoramic and spectacular via ferrata that crosses the eastern face of Paganella, featuring sections that are highly exposed, with sheer drops into the valley.
It offers breathtaking views, thrilling sections, ladders and suspended bridges!
DESCRIPTION
The Ferrata delle Aquile is a recent and original route, highly frequented for its incredible spectacular views and easy accessibility, thanks to the lifts from Andalo or Fai della Paganella that take you to Cima Paganella (2125m).
Despite its easy access, it is a moderately difficult via ferrata, suitable for experienced hikers who are well-equipped and accustomed to exposure.
From the summit, you descend along the trail or ski slope to the entrance of the Canalone Battisti, which is followed downhill for a short stretch before continuing mostly sideways along ledges and suspended bridges. The numerous airy and exposed sections make it incredibly panoramic and adrenaline-pumping, but it’s not ideal for those uncomfortable with heights... For an even more exciting experience, there are several variations along the route.
After the final uphill section, you reach the "Trono dell'Aquila," marking the end of the route, and then take the path that quickly leads back to Cima Paganella and the Rifugio La Roda, where you can enjoy a well-deserved break before heading back down to the valley.
